Network Systems Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to support network and infrastructure operations within an industrial biomanufacturing environment. The Network Systems Engineer role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with experience in network deployment, infrastructure support, and working in manufacturing or highly regulated environments. This position requires onsite presence five days per week in Clayton, NC.

Responsibilities of the Network Systems Engineer:

• Provide day-to-day support for network and infrastructure systems in an industrial or biomanufacturing environment.

• Deploy, configure, and maintain routers, switches, and other network hardware across WAN/LAN environments.

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and reliability issues.

• Support infrastructure components including servers, virtualization, and endpoint systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and reliable system operations.

• Assist with network upgrades, expansions, and ongoing optimization efforts.

Qualifications of the Network Systems Engineer:

• 3+ years of experience in network and systems engineering.

• Prior experience in an industrial, pharmaceutical, or biomanufacturing environment is required.

• CCNA-level knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting.

• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting routers, switches, and WAN/LAN infrastructure.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure support, including servers and related systems.

• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Clayton, NC.
