IT Project Manager

Piper Companies is seeking an IT Project Manager to support a leader in the American tobacco manufacturing industry for a 12 month contract term Hybrid 1 week onsite every month role based in Greensboro, NC. The IT Project Manager will be working for a significant Business Transformation Program heavily utilizing SAP S/4 HANA.

Responsibilities of the IT Project Manager:

• Leading the designing, building, integrated testing and delivery of integrations and remediations of the spokes systems connecting to the S4 core.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, program team, internal IT teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
• Oversee resource allocation and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as appropriate.
• Ensure projects comply with internal governance standards, security requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide regular status reports, risks, issues, and mitigations to leadership, including timelines, dependencies, and budget updates.

Qualifications of the IT Project Manager:

• 7+ years of IT Project Manager experience required
• Proven experience working on a SAP transformation project
• Proven experience with S/4 HANA complex transformation project
• SAP ECC and Manufacturing/CPG/FMCG preferred
• Experience in Intermediate to Advanced MS Project
• PMP certification preferred
• Bachelors degree in Information Systems or related field from an accredited university

Compensation for the IT Project Manager includes:

• Salary range: $65-$70 USD per year based on professional experience
