Piper Companies is seeking a Strategic Partnership Manager to join an industry leading credit union located in McLean, VA. The Strategic Partnership Manager will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and expanding strategic business opportunities that drive membership growth, consumer lending expansion, and increased market share. This individual will build relationships with external organizations, community partners, businesses, and industry stakeholders to generate new opportunities while supporting the credit union’s long-term growth strategy.


Responsibilities for the Strategic Partnership Manager includes:

• Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities that support membership acquisition, lending growth, and revenue generation objectives.

• Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses, associations, affinity groups, community organizations, and strategic partners.

• Develop and execute business development strategies that increase awareness and adoption of the credit union’s products and services.

• Generate leads and cultivate referral networks that drive growth across consumer lending, deposits, credit cards, and business banking offerings.

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities, industry trends, and target markets.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Consumer Banking, Lending, and Executive Leadership teams to align business development efforts with organizational goals.

• Prepare business cases, presentations, proposals, and partnership recommendations for leadership review.


Qualifications for the Strategic Partnership Manager include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field required.

• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, strategic partnerships, relationship management, or financial services.

• Proven track record of developing new business opportunities and driving measurable growth outcomes.

• Experience working within a bank, credit union, fintech, or other financial services organization preferred.

• Strong understanding of consumer banking products including loans, deposits, credit cards, and related financial services.

• Demonstrated ability to build executive-level relationships and influence key stakeholders.

• Experience conducting market analysis, competitive research, and strategic planning initiatives.


Compensation for the Strategic Partnership Manager includes:

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 annually depending on experience
