Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join an established global organization within the electronics and connectivity solutions industry for a permanent position in Durham, NC. The Technical Project Manager will oversee complex product development initiatives, ensuring timelines, budgets, and technical goals are achieved while supporting high-performance hardware programs. This Technical Project Manager role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional engineering environments.
Responsibilities for the Technical Project Manager:
· Lead the planning and execution of product development projects from start to finish
· Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time completion
· Act as the main point of contact between teams and leadership, providing regular updates
· Coordinate cross-functional and global teams to keep projects on schedule
· Manage supplier relationships and ensure key project components are delivered on time
· Monitor budgets, adjust project scope as needed, and manage risks
Requirements for the Technical Project Manager:
· 4+ years of experience
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documents
· Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to different levels of leadership
· Experience with problem-solving methods (e.g., root cause analysis) and working independently
Compensation for the Technical Project Manager:
· Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000
