Piper Companies is seeking a CQV STW Maintenance Technician to support a large-scale biopharmaceutical or advanced manufacturing project. The CQV STW Maintenance Technician role is ideal for an experienced industrial maintenance professional with strong expertise in system energization, commissioning support, and adherence to strict safety and GMP environments.
Responsibilities of the CQV STW Maintenance Technician:
• Execute Set to Work (STW) protocols to safely energize Direct Impact Systems following Mechanical Completion.
• Coordinate with STW teams to prepare tools, resources, and documentation aligned with project schedules.
• Interpret and execute detailed STW protocols including pre-requisites, LOTO procedures, and energization plans using master drawings.
• Support system readiness activities including software downloads, loop checks, calibrations, and motor rotation checks.
• Perform safe energization of utilities and electrical systems in accordance with project safety procedures.
• Participate in Mechanical Completion walkdowns to ensure systems are prepared for STW execution.
• Document all STW activities in accordance with GDP requirements and ensure proper filing of completed protocols.
• Identify, log, and support closure of punch list items in alignment with project procedures.
• Collaborate with CQV area and system leads to coordinate activities and prevent conflicts with commissioning and qualification efforts.
• Follow all safety standards, program documentation, and training requirements while maintaining a high standard of compliance.
• Perform additional support tasks including minor repairs, equipment handling, and operating scissor lifts as required.
Qualifications of the CQV STW Maintenance Technician:
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial or mechanical maintenance experience in a regulated or heavy industrial environment.
• Hands-on experience working with and energizing live utility or process systems.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems and commissioning or startup activities.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, system leads, and operations personnel.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and independently walk down systems.
• Experience working on complex capital projects or within operational facilities is preferred.
• OSHA certification and scissor lift certification are strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload and meet project deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and a demonstrated ability to problem-solve in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic database tools.
Compensation for the Maintenance Technician includes:
• Salary range: $80,000-$105,000
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
• Contract role with potential for extension based on project timelines
