Piper Companies is looking for a Senior Compensation Analyst to join a thriving biotech company based out of RTP, NC. This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring the candidate to be onsite 3 days a week.


 Essential Duties of the Senior Compensation Analyst:

  • Operate as an internal consultant to provide broad-based compensation and policy support to HR, managers, and employees
  • Perform detailed job evaluation of new or revised positions, determining classification, exemption status, and market competitive salaries
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of compensation and job evaluation data used for analyses, reporting, and program administration
  • Validate job requirements by analyzing jobs, including interviewing knowledgeable persons, studying completed questionnaires, and observing duties performed

 

Qualifications of the Senior Compensation Analyst:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, finance, psychology, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive compensation experience with an HR function
  • 1+ years of corporate or consulting experience in the life sciences industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in compensation theory and local, state and federal laws and regulations, such as the FLSA, Equal Pay Act, minimum wage, overtime, and record-keeping requirements
  • Experience utilizing compensation survey data (Radford & Mercer industry surveys preferred)
  • Intermediate-to-advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Able to build and navigate complex spreadsheets through the use of formulas, pivot tables, and charts


Compensation for the Senior Compensation Analyst:

  • $110,000-$130,000 (based on experience)
  • Comprehensive benefit package; Cigna Medical, Cigna Dental, Vision, 401k w/ ADP, PTO, paid holidays, sick Leave as required by law
