Senior Data Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support an industry leader in financial services for a 6 month contract remote role. The Senior Data Engineer role will be responsible for building scalable backend data platforms that empower clients to access and leverage data with ease.

Responsibilities of the Senior Data Engineer:

• Deliver high quality, innovative and maintainable software solutions in an agile environment.
• Performing application maintenance and ensuring information security controls
• Provide timely status updates, issue resolutions, and step-by-step instructions on usability questions
• Collaborate with Product, Execution, and other support teams to resolve or escalate user inquiries

Qualifications of the Senior Data Engineer:

• 6+ years of experience developing enterprise solutions across multiple technology platforms, programming languages, and Data platform.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Streams/Tasks)
• Deep experience in data pipelines ETL/ELT tools like Informatica, Control-M
• Familiar with backend development building in Java / Python with API first approach for scalable environment.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
