Senior Business Analyst (Datacenter and Networking)

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Datacenter and Networking) to join a leading organization in the global datacenter and internet infrastructure industry. The Senior Business Analyst (Datacenter and Networking) will bridge network engineering, product, and commercial teams to optimize interconnection strategy and support global network growth. The Senior Business Analyst (Datacenter and Networking) can work remotely within EST hours and will require you to work 6am EST as needed to coordinate with the global team.

Responsibilities of the Senior Business Analyst (Datacenter and Networking):

• Analyze network architecture, including IP transit, peering, and dark fiber, to improve performance
• Support capacity planning through datacenter utilization analysis
• Identify cost optimization opportunities across vendors and network services
• Lead end-to-end project delivery for network and interconnection initiatives
• Translate technical designs into business requirements and project plans
• Develop KPIs and build dashboards using Power BI or Tableau
• Conduct financial analysis for CapEx and OpEx investments

Requirements of the Senior Business Analyst (Datacenter and Networking):

• 7+ years of Business Analyst or Technical Project Management experience in datacenter or telecom environments
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (BGP, MPLS, DWDM, OSI layers)
• Advanced SQL and experience with Python, R, or Excel
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Confluence
• Strong communication skills and experience working with telecom partners
• PMP, CSM, CCNA, or CCNP certifications preferred

Compensation for the Senior Business Analyst (Datacenter and Networking):

• $100,000 - $150,000 base salary
