Data Center Process Analyst

Piper Companies is hiring a Data Center Process Analyst for a leading global infrastructure organization located in Raleigh, NC. The Data Center Process Analyst will support large-scale datacenter network and interconnection initiatives, bridging technical engineering teams with business stakeholders while driving optimization, capacity planning, and project delivery across a global footprint. The Data Center Process Analyst is a remote contract position.

Responsibilities of the Data Center Process Analyst:

• Evaluate global datacenter and network architecture including IP transit, peering relationships, and dark fiber assets to optimize performance

• Analyze datacenter utilization trends and perform capacity planning to forecast future interconnection and infrastructure needs

• Lead cross-functional datacenter and infrastructure projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met

• Translate technical network and datacenter designs into business requirements, user stories, and project roadmaps

• Develop and track KPIs, build dashboards (Power BI/Tableau), and present data-driven insights to executive leadership

Requirements of the Data Center Process Analyst:

• 5+ years of Business Analyst or Technical Project Management experience within datacenter, telecom, or internet infrastructure environments

• Strong networking and datacenter expertise including OSI layers, BGP routing, MPLS, DWDM, and cross-connect architecture

• Experience with Agile or hybrid project methodologies using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft Project

• Advanced data analysis skills including SQL and proficiency in Python, R, or Excel

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, MIS, or a related technical field

Compensation for the Data Center Process Analyst:

• Salary: $125,000-$145,000 based on experience
