Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support a leading organization in the manufacturing and hardware industry. The Technical Program Manager (TPM) role is ideal for an experienced program leader with a strong background in mechanical, hardware, or manufacturing environments who thrives in fast-paced, high-change settings.
Responsibilities of the Technical Program Manager (TPM):
• Lead end-to-end program execution for complex manufacturing and hardware initiatives.
• Operate effectively in high-pressure, high-chaos environments with rapidly changing priorities.
• Drive cross-functional decision-making while balancing customer needs with internal team capabilities.
• Manage stakeholder communication across engineering, manufacturing, and client teams.
• Identify risks, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely delivery of program milestones.
• Coordinate with domestic and offshore manufacturing partners to ensure alignment and execution.
Qualifications of the Technical Program Manager (TPM):
• 4+ years of program management experience in manufacturing, mechanical, or hardware-focused environments.
• Strong ability to lead in ambiguous, fast-moving, and high-stakes situations.
• Proven experience managing stakeholders and resolving conflicts between customer and internal teams.
• Demonstrated success driving program decisions and delivering outcomes across cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel 50–60% domestically (Valley Green, PA and Santa Clara, CA initially) with tapering expectations over time.
• Ability to support 10–20% international travel to manufacturing locations in Mexico and China.
• Preferred locations include Valley Green, PA; Santa Clara, CA; or RTP, NC.
Compensation for the Technical Program Manager (TPM) includes:
• Salary range: $120,000 – $150,000 depending on experience
