Global Head of Biostatistics

Piper Companies is seeking a Global Head of Biostatistics to lead and scale its global biostatistics organization. This executive leadership role will be responsible for defining and executing the global biostatistics strategy, driving commercial growth, overseeing operational excellence, and maintaining full P&L ownership for the function. Reporting to the Head of Data Science, this individual will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams while elevating Biostatistics as a key differentiator across the CRO's global service offerings.

Responsibilities of the Global Head of Biostatistics:

• Define and execute the global biostatistics strategy aligned with company growth objectives and evolving industry trends, including adaptive designs, real-world evidence, advanced analytics, and AI/ML applications.
• Own and manage the full P&L for the global Biostatistics function, including revenue growth, margin performance, forecasting, resource planning, and investment decisions.
• Partner closely with Business Development and Commercial teams to support proposals, bid defenses, client presentations, pricing strategies, and business expansion opportunities.
• Lead a global, multi-regional biostatistics organization, ensuring delivery excellence, operational scalability, workforce planning, quality standards, and performance management.
• Serve as an executive sponsor for strategic client accounts and represent Novotech at industry conferences, advisory boards, and other external leadership forums.
• Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and industry standards, including FDA, EMA, PMDA, and ICH guidelines, while maintaining inspection readiness and risk management oversight.

Qualifications for the Global Head of Biostatistics:

• PhD or MSc in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 15+ years of progressive biostatistics experience within CROs, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organizations.
• Demonstrated success leading large, global, multi-site biostatistics teams and functional organizations.
• Proven track record of P&L ownership, revenue growth, financial accountability, and operational leadership.
• Significant executive or senior functional leadership experience with strong commercial and client-facing responsibilities.
• Deep understanding of clinical development, drug development, regulatory requirements, and global clinical trial operations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and business acumen with the ability to influence executive and C-suite stakeholders.

Compensation for the Global Head of Biostatistics:

• Salary Range: $275,000 – $340,000/year (USD)
