Systems Administrator

iper Companies is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a leading organization within the network virtualization and infrastructure technology industry. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining enterprise lab environments that support software development, testing, and engineering initiatives. This role combines systems administration, virtualization management, network support, and infrastructure automation to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability across critical lab environments.

Responsibilities of the Systems Administrator:

• Administer and maintain enterprise server, storage, and networking infrastructure supporting development and testing operations.
• Manage virtualization platforms including VMware, KVM, Proxmox, Nutanix, and Linux-based environments.
• Provision and support test environments, virtual machine templates, software repositories, and infrastructure resources.
• Configure and maintain network services including VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN connectivity, and remote access solutions.
• Support automation initiatives through scripting and assist with CI/CD platforms, infrastructure monitoring, and resource optimization.

Qualifications of the Systems Administrator:

• 3+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, lab operations, or data center environments.
• Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter, Linux administration, virtualization technologies, and enterprise storage solutions.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including routing, switching, TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting server hardware, RAID configurations, enterprise rack deployments, and structured cabling environments.
• Preferred experience with automation tools, scripting languages such as Python or Bash, and CI/CD environments.

Compensation for the Systems Administrator includes:

• Salary range: $60,000 - $72,000
