QA Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a QA Engineer for a leading technology organization in the Raleigh Durham, North Carolina area. The QA Engineer role is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite in the office. The QA Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test frameworks and ensuring software quality across applications. An ideal candidate for the QA Engineer role is detail-oriented with strong experience in Cypress and test automation scripting.

Responsibilities of the QA Engineer:

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress.

• Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks and strategies.

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify test requirements and ensure quality standards.

• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across applications.

• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.

Qualifications of the QA Engineer:

• 3+ years of QA engineering experience with a focus on automation.

• Hands-on experience with Cypress and modern test automation frameworks.

• Strong scripting skills (JavaScript preferred) for test development.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git).

Compensation for the QA Engineer includes:

• Hourly rate: $45 – $52/hr depending on experience
