Senior Data Engineer

Piper Companies is hiring a Senior Date Engineer for a community-based primary care organization. The Senior Software Engineer will help build a data platform that powers analytics, product measurement, and operational visibility across the company. The Senior Data Engineer is a remote position located in the Washington Metropolitan Area. 

Responsibilities of the Senior Data Engineer:

• Lead the development and execution of account-based marketing (ABM) strategies, including building and scaling programs from the ground up
• Drive pipeline growth by executing targeted campaigns and tracking measurable impact on revenue and pipeline contribution
• Partner closely with Sales and BDR teams to align on account strategy, support outbound and inbound initiatives, and improve pipeline conversion
• Manage and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across the full funnel, from lead generation through opportunity and deal progression
• Leverage CRM data, customer insights, win/loss analysis, and market research to inform campaign strategy and improve performance
• Utilize and manage marketing technology platforms, including Salesforce, HubSpot, and ABM tools (e.g., 6sense or Demandbase), to optimize campaign execution and reporting

Requirements of the Senior Data Engineer:

• 5+ years of experience in data or backend engineering, with a strong focus on building and maintaining scalable data platforms
• Must be in the DMV/Washington Metropolitan area
• Hands-on experience designing and operating production-grade data pipelines and ingestion frameworks
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data ingestion, transformation, and processing, along with experience using tools such as dbt for workflow development
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, with a preference for AWS and Databricks or comparable Spark-based Lakehouse environments
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and large-scale data processing, with the ability to troubleshoot performance, reliability, and data quality issues
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders, while translating data insights into business impact (e.g., dashboards or reporting for leadership)
• Experience working in regulated environments or fast-paced settings, with healthcare industry exposure and familiarity with HIPAA requirements preferred

Compensation for the Senior Data Engineer:

• $160,000-$180,000 base
