This position plays a critical role in developing and executing production supply plans that align customer demand with manufacturing capacity while supporting a major U.S. manufacturing facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for a planner who enjoys working cross-functionally, leveraging data to drive decisions, and contributing to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production supply plans to support manufacturing operations.
  • Balance demand forecasts, inventory levels, production capacity, and supplier constraints.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure achievable production schedules.
  • Participate in and facilitate Supply Review, S&OP, operational review, and cross-functional planning meetings.
  • Monitor planning parameters including lead times, safety stock, reorder points, and inventory targets.
  • Analyze production constraints and recommend solutions to improve supply performance.
  • Build reports and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint to communicate planning performance and supply risks.
  • Utilize ERP and supply planning systems to manage planning activities and improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help optimize planning processes through data analytics and emerging AI tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of supply planning, production planning, or demand planning experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP or planning systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, o9, or similar.
  • Understanding of production planning concepts, Bills of Materials (BOMs), inventory planning, and capacity planning.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency; PowerPoint experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Experience participating in S&OP or integrated business planning processes is preferred.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods (CPG), food, beverage, or other regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Kinaxis experience
  • Oracle ERP experience
  • Power BI or Tableau
  • APICS CPIM certification (or in progress)
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT

This hybrid opportunity offers the chance to work with a collaborative Supply Chain team supporting a complex manufacturing operation while contributing to strategic planning initiatives.
