Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of Clinical & Business Intelligence to lead enterprise reporting, analytics, business intelligence, data visualization, and performance measurement initiatives within a complex healthcare environment. This leader will be responsible for driving the organization's BI strategy, overseeing analytics delivery, and building high-performing teams that support clinical, operational, financial, and population health decision-making.
The ideal candidate combines strong leadership experience with deep expertise in healthcare analytics, business intelligence platforms, data warehousing, reporting, dashboard development, and data governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage enterprise Clinical and Business Intelligence functions, including reporting, dashboards, scorecards, data visualization, and self-service analytics.
- Direct a team of BI developers, analysts, and technical professionals responsible for analytics delivery and production support.
- Partner with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to define analytics priorities and deliver actionable insights.
- Establish and execute the organization's business intelligence strategy aligned with enterprise goals.
- Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of reporting and analytics solutions.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, security, and integrity of organizational data assets.
- Drive adoption of analytics tools and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.
- Collaborate with data governance, architecture, integration, and data science teams to support enterprise analytics initiatives.
- Develop resource plans, project roadmaps, and delivery timelines for BI programs.
- Monitor emerging BI, analytics, and visualization technologies and evaluate opportunities for implementation.
- Lead hiring, coaching, performance management, and professional development of analytics staff.
- Support enterprise data governance efforts and promote data quality standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience leading business intelligence, analytics, reporting, or data management teams.
- Significant experience managing enterprise analytics and reporting functions within a healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare data, clinical operations, quality metrics, population health, and operational performance measurement.
- Experience delivering enterprise business intelligence, reporting, dashboarding, and data visualization solutions.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data governance, master data management, data quality, and data security practices.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and large-scale analytics initiatives.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related discipline.
- Experience with enterprise BI and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting population health, clinical quality, financial analytics, or healthcare operations.
- Familiarity with modern cloud-based data and analytics platforms.
