Piper Companies is looking to fill the role of Hardware Engineering Program Manager at a cutting-edge AI hardware startup company. The Hardware Engineering Program Manager will lead complex end-to-end product development programs in the high-tech industry. The Hardware Engineer Program Manager role is an onsite position located in Saratoga, CA.
Responsibilities of the Hardware Engineer Program Manager Include:
- Lead end-to-end hardware product development programs from concept through production launch.
- Drive cross-functional execution across engineering, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and external partners.
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution to ensure successful program execution.
- Facilitate technical meetings, maintain project plans, dashboards, and executive status reporting using tools such as Smartsheet.
- Collaborate closely with Systems, EE, ME, Thermal, Packaging, ASIC, Software, and Supply Chain teams.
- Manage vendor, supplier, and contract manufacturer relationships to support product development and delivery.
- Support prototype builds, validation, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp while fostering collaboration across global teams.
Qualifications for the Hardware Engineer Program Manager Include:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience in high-tech industries.
- 5+ years of Engineering Program Management experience leading complex hardware, embedded systems, or data center infrastructure programs.
- Strong Electrical Engineering background with hands-on expertise in server hardware, data center architecture, and technologies including fiber optics, thermal systems, firmware, and mechanical components.
- Proven experience managing full product lifecycle development within server, networking, or enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams, vendors, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to deliver complex programs on schedule.
- Proficiency with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, and other program management tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; PMP certification and experience with global teams are preferred.
Compensation for the Hardware Engineer Program Manager include:
- $210,000-$240,000
- Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Sick leave if required by law, and Holidays
