Software Engineer - Primary Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineer - Primary Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer to join a technology-focused organization supporting large-scale data and application initiatives. This Software Engineer - Primary Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer opportunity is a fully remote position for a seasoned engineer with deep expertise in Oracle database development, data processing, and modern software delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain advanced Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions that support enterprise applications and critical business processes.

• Design scalable database structures, data models, and API integrations while optimizing performance and reliability.

• Build and support batch processing and data integration solutions using ETL technologies, Informatica, and scheduling platforms such as Autosys.

• Drive technical design discussions, participate in peer reviews, and champion software quality through testing and automation.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members while promoting Agile development, ATDD, and CI/CD best practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience developing software solutions with a primary focus on Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.

• Strong background in database performance tuning, query optimization, data analysis, and data modeling.

• Experience developing and supporting ETL workflows, batch processing environments, and enterprise scheduling tools.

• Familiarity with automated testing methodologies, Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD), and CI/CD pipelines.

• Preferred experience with cloud-based technologies such as Snowflake and Amazon S3; exposure to Java and messaging technologies is a plus.
