API Software Engineer

Piper Companies is hiring an API Software Engineer for a growing technology-driven organization located in Morrisville, NC. The API Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining ETL pipelines that support seamless HRIS and ATS integrations across the platform. The API Software Engineer is required to be onsite 3 days per week in Raleigh, NC. 

Responsibilities of the Software Engineer - Integrations: 

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines utilizing Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Functions 
• Integrate HRIS and ATS platforms into the organization's ecosystem while ensuring data accuracy and reliability 
• Develop scalable integration processes and architectures to support future business growth. 
• Research and recommend enterprise integration technologies, ESB frameworks, and best practices 
• Serve as a subject matter expert for ETL, platform integrations, and e-commerce integration requirements 
• Contribute to backlog refinement, technical documentation, and continuous process improvement initiatives 
• Support Agile development practices and participate in cross-functional project planning and execution 

Requirements of the Software Engineer - Integrations: 

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of software development experience with a focus on ETL pipelines and data integration 
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, specifically: Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Functions 
• Experience designing and supporting integrations across data and API layers. 
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines 
• Open to contract position and available to be onsite three days a week in Raleigh, NC  

Preferred experience: 

• HRIS and ATS integration experience 
• Power BI or similar reporting tools 
• Experience with ESB framework 
• Service-oriented architecture (SOA) experience 
• E-commerce integration experience
