Senior Buyer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Buyer to join a leading medical device manufacturer in King of Prussia, PA. The Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring material availability, and driving purchasing initiatives that support production and business objectives. This role is ideal for someone with strong manufacturing procurement experience who can take ownership of supplier performance, lead projects, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the Senior Buyer:

• Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials, components, and finished products.

• Review purchasing requirements, create and manage purchase orders, and proactively resolve supply chain issues.

• Partner closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to support production needs.

• Conduct cost and volume analysis to support inventory objectives, supplier capacity planning, and cost savings initiatives.

• Drive supplier performance reviews and identify opportunities to improve delivery, quality, and service levels.

• Lead projects, support process improvements, and provide guidance to team members as needed.

Qualifications of the Senior Buyer:

• Bachelor's degree required.

• 4+ years of purchasing, procurement, buying, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.

• Direct or indirect leadership experience, including project leadership, strongly preferred.

• Experience within medical device manufacturing preferred; candidates from CNC machining, fabrication, or precision manufacturing environments will also be considered.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and supplier relationship management skills.

• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, reporting, and Pivot Tables.

• Self-starter with a go-getter mentality and a proactive approach to supplier management and problem solving.

Compensation for the Senior Buyer includes:

• Salary range: $80,000 - $85,000 (Depending on Experience)
