Senior Common Criteria Engineer

Piper Companies is hiring a Senior Common Criteria Engineer for a leading technology organization located in RTP, NC. The Senior Common Criteria Engineer will lead the design and development of a platform that provides real-time visibility into Common Criteria certification programs and projects. The Senior Common Criteria Engineer will build tools that enable stakeholders to track certification status, milestones, risks, deliverables, evaluation activities, and program progress across multiple Common Criteria evaluations. The Senior Common Criteria Engineer is a long-term contract opportunity supporting enterprise software development, workflow automation, reporting, and dashboard initiatives in a hybrid environment in RTP, NC.

Responsibilities of the Senior Common Criteria Engineer:

• Design, develop, and maintain a web-based platform for managing Common Criteria certification programs and project activities

• Build real-time dashboards displaying project status, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and overall program health

• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services that aggregate data from project management tools, document repositories, and reporting platforms into a unified view

• Create workflow automation, notifications, alerts, and reporting capabilities for stakeholders and leadership teams

• Build analytics solutions that provide insight into certification timelines, bottlenecks, resource utilization, and program performance

• Lead architectural decisions, establish engineering best practices, and mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance

Requirements of the Senior Common Criteria Engineer:

• 5+ years of software development experience building enterprise web applications

• Strong experience with Python, TypeScript, Go, or other modern programming languages

• Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications within Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments

• Experience developing dashboards, reporting platforms, workflow management applications, and enterprise data integrations

• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, Agile methodologies, and modern software engineering practices

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field

Compensation for the Senior Common Criteria Engineer:

• $115,000 - $140,000, based on experience
