Job Title: Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer (Python / AWS)

Overview

We are expanding our engineering team and are looking to hire 1–3 mid-level Full Stack Software Engineers who thrive in a cloud-native, AI-enabled development environment. This role is ideal for engineers with strong backend expertise in Python, hands-on AWS experience, and familiarity with modern AI-assisted coding tools.

You’ll play a key role in designing and building scalable systems, with a ~70% backend / 30% frontend focus, while contributing to a fast-moving, highly collaborative team leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI and agent-based systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python (primary language)
• Build and deploy scalable, secure systems in AWS cloud environments
• Contribute to frontend development using modern frameworks (React or similar)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Leverage AI code companion tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AWS CodeWhisperer) to accelerate development
• Participate in system architecture decisions, especially around distributed systems and cloud-native patterns
• Implement logging, monitoring, and observability best practices
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
• Stay current with emerging technologies, particularly in AI/ML and agent-based systems

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python for backend development
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, API Gateway)
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer, similar)
• Full stack development experience, including frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar)
• Experience working in agile or iterative development environments

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, Developer, or similar strongly preferred)
• Experience with additional languages such as Node.js or Go
• Exposure to agentic AI systems or frameworks (e.g., AWS Bedrock, AgentCore, or similar)
• Experience integrating or building applications with LLMs or generative AI services
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., SNS/SQS, Kafka)
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

Compensation

Salary: $125,000 - $145,000
