Piper Companies is seeking an experienced Veeva Vault Implementation Manager to support a leading Clinical Research Organization (CRO) in expanding and optimizing its Veeva Vault environment. This is a high-impact consulting engagement focused on developing the strategy, governance, and implementation roadmap for securely extending Veeva Vault access to external clinical research partners.
This role is ideal for a seasoned Veeva Vault professional with a strong consulting mindset who has led enterprise implementations, developed governance frameworks, and partnered with cross-functional stakeholders in regulated life sciences environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the current Veeva Vault environment and develop a strategic roadmap for platform expansion.
- Define user access models, security roles, governance standards, and collaboration processes for internal and external users.
- Develop implementation recommendations, governance documentation, SOPs, and best practices to support long-term platform administration.
- Partner with Quality, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend scalable solutions.
- Identify implementation risks, process improvements, and opportunities to optimize system utilization.
- Provide strategic guidance on Veeva Vault capabilities while ensuring compliance with GxP regulations and FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
- Support implementation planning, stakeholder communication, and organizational readiness throughout the engagement.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience implementing, managing, or optimizing Veeva Vault solutions within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or life sciences industry.
- Proven experience leading Veeva Vault implementation, migration, expansion, or optimization initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Veeva Vault functionality, document management, workflows, governance, and security.
- Experience designing governance frameworks, user access models, or implementation strategies for regulated environments.
- Working knowledge of GxP requirements, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, validation principles, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent project management, consulting, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a Clinical Research Organization (CRO) or supporting clinical research operations.
- Experience with Veeva Vault Clinical, eTMF, QualityDocs, QMS, or related Vault applications.
- Experience developing SOPs, governance documentation, and operational procedures.
- Familiarity with user provisioning, security roles, permissions, and external collaborator access within Veeva Vault.
- PMP or other project management certification is a plus.

Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $75-$90/hr on a W2 contract rate; depending on experience
- Benefits Available: Medical, Dental, Vision, Sick Leave as required by law, and PTO
