Piper Companies is seeking a Common Criteria (CC) Engineer to support a leading cybersecurity and compliance-focused organization in ensuring security products meet international certification requirements for global distribution. The Common Criteria (CC) Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert in Common Criteria evaluations, EUCC requirements, and certification processes, helping products achieve and maintain compliance across multiple international markets.
Responsibilities of the Common Criteria (CC) Engineer:
• Lead Common Criteria (CC) certification efforts for security-focused products and technologies.
• Manage and support product evaluations under EUCC, BSI, BSZ, and related international certification frameworks.
• Interpret and apply Common Criteria standards, Protection Profiles, and Security Targets.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, security, and compliance teams to ensure products meet certification requirements.
• Coordinate with testing laboratories, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies throughout the evaluation lifecycle.
• Provide guidance on USCC compliance considerations and global regulatory requirements impacting product sales.
• Perform gap assessments and compliance reviews to identify certification risks and remediation strategies.
• Maintain awareness of evolving international cybersecurity certification regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications of the Common Criteria (CC) Engineer:
• 5+ years of experience working with Common Criteria (CC) evaluations and certification programs.
• Hands-on experience supporting EUCC, BSI, BSZ, or similar international cybersecurity certification frameworks.
• Knowledge of Security Targets (STs), Protection Profiles (PPs), and Common Evaluation Methodology (CEM).
• Understanding of U.S. Common Criteria requirements and international compliance standards.
• Experience working directly with certification laboratories and government certification bodies.
• Strong documentation, technical writing, and audit support experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Compensation for the Common Criteria (CC) Engineer includes:
• Salary range: $100,000 - $115,000 depending on experience
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
• Fully remote position supporting Eastern Time Zone business hours
