Front End Software Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Front End Software Engineer to join a leading organization in the network simulation and virtualization industry. The ideal Front End Software Engineer will focus on building modern, interactive web applications that help users design, visualize, and manage complex virtual network environments. This is a fully remote position supporting EST business hours.

Responsibilities of the Front End Software Engineer:

• Develop and maintain modern web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React, Angular, or Vue
• Build interactive network topology visualization tools and user interfaces
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and real-time data
• Contribute to backend development initiatives using Golang and Python
• Optimize application performance and scalability for complex network environments
• Create reusable UI components and maintain frontend best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend and backend systems
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Qualifications for the Front End Software Engineer:

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on frontend development
• Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Hands-on experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Experience developing backend services using Golang and/or Python
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, and network protocols
• Experience integrating REST APIs and working with real-time data technologies
• Experience with data visualization libraries, Canvas, SVG, or similar technologies is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred

Compensation for the Front End Software Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $75,000 - $105,000 annually depending on experience
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
