Sr. Data Engineer III

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer III to join a leading organization in the technology and data solutions industry. The Sr. Data Engineer III position is fully remote and candidates must reside within the EST or CST time zones. The Sr. Data Engineer III will play a key role in building and enhancing enterprise-scale data platforms, supporting critical reporting initiatives, and driving innovative cloud-based data solutions.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Data Engineer III include:

• Architect, develop, and support robust data integration frameworks and scalable ETL solutions.

• Build, enhance, and tune complex SQL processes to improve data quality, efficiency, and system performance.

• Utilize Microsoft Azure, Fabric, Spark, and Python technologies to streamline and automate enterprise data operations.

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions, system integrations, and reporting capabilities.

• Guide technical initiatives, mentor junior team members, and provide advanced troubleshooting support for data platforms and applications.

Requirements of the Sr. Data Engineer III include:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a related technical field.

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python, dbt, and/or C# development.

• Experience working with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar cloud data technologies.

• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL architecture, API integrations, and version control practices using Git.

• Proven ability to lead projects, solve complex technical challenges, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Compensation for the Sr. Data Engineer III include:

• 120,000 - 150,000 annually
