Lead BMS Software Support

Piper Companies is seeking a Lead BMS Software Support role to join a growing leader in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology space for a contract, onsite position located in Clayton, NC. The Lead BMS Software Support will lead the design, integration, and continuous improvement of building management systems (BMS) to ensure optimal performance, compliance, and reliability across pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities of the Lead BMS Software Support include:

• Lead internal and external teams, including system integrators, to ensure successful BMS project execution and system reliability.
• Provide hands-on expertise in Siemens, Rockwell, and Wonderware platforms to optimize building automation performance.
• Oversee BMS-connected equipment (chillers, boilers, AHUs) to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to support integration with systems like Kepware, PI, and CAHS.
• Recommend and implement continuous improvements for BMS and VDS AVEVA systems. 

Qualifications for the Lead BMS Software Support include:

• 5+ years of experience in BMS, automation, or related technical fields, with leadership of internal and external teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens, Rockwell, Wonderware, and PLC-based control systems.
• 2+ years of project management experience, including scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Experience in cGMP pharmaceutical environments with knowledge of FDA regulations. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.

 Compensation for the Lead BMS Software Support:

• Salary Range: $65-$75/hour (USD)
• Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K
