Sr. SRE

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer for a rapidly growing technology organization in the United States. The Sr. Site Reliability Engineer role is a remote position supporting the design, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence of a large-scale cloud platform. An ideal candidate for the Sr. Site Reliability Engineer role is an experienced infrastructure leader who has designed, built, and maintained highly available platforms at scale with deep expertise in Kubernetes, Linux, and AWS.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Site Reliability Engineer:

• Design, build, and maintain highly scalable, resilient platform infrastructure leveraging Kubernetes and AWS services.

• Drive reliability, performance, observability, and automation initiatives across production environments.

• Develop and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and operational tooling to improve platform efficiency.

• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and application issues across distributed systems.

• Partner with engineering teams to implement best practices for cloud architecture, security, and operational excellence.

Qualifications of the Sr. Site Reliability Engineer:

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related infrastructure roles.

• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale production platforms serving mission-critical applications.

• Advanced expertise with Kubernetes, Linux administration, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Strong experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar), and CI/CD pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms in cloud-native environments.

Compensation for the Sr. Site Reliability Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $130,000 - $180,000 depending on experience
