Sr. DevOps Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer for a world leading technology organization in the United States. The Sr. DevOps Engineer role is a remote position focused on building and enhancing cloud-native deployment platforms that enable engineering teams to efficiently deliver applications at scale. An ideal candidate for the Sr. DevOps Engineer role is an experienced engineer with a software development background, strong object-oriented programming expertise, and deep experience with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and modern deployment systems.

Responsibilities of the Sr. DevOps Engineer:

• Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes-based deployment platforms supporting scalable cloud-native applications.

• Develop and manage GitOps workflows utilizing ArgoCD and other deployment automation tools.

• Create and maintain "golden paths" that enable engineering teams to efficiently deploy and operate applications on the platform.

• Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve developer experience, platform adoption, and operational excellence.

• Implement automation, monitoring, and reliability improvements across infrastructure and application environments.

Qualifications of the Sr. DevOps Engineer:

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles.

• Strong background in object-oriented programming prior to transitioning into DevOps or infrastructure engineering.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and modern deployment systems in production environments.

• Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) and creating self-service tooling or platform standards.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.

Compensation for the Sr. DevOps Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $130,000 – $180,000 depending on experience
