Project Manager (Ops Stack)

Piper Companies is hiring a Project Manager (Ops Stack) for a Cloud and Technology company located in Raleigh, NC. The Project Manager (Ops Stack) will oversee initiatives supporting client security platforms and operational environments that enable applications to achieve and maintain FedRAMP Moderate compliance. The Project Manager (Ops Stack) role is a remote position located within the Eastern Time Zone.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager (Ops Stack) Include:

• Lead cross-functional programs supporting the security stack, operational controls, and compliance initiatives required for FedRAMP Moderate environments.
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, resource allocation, risks, and stakeholder communications across engineering, security, compliance, and operations teams.
• Drive compliance with readiness efforts, including continuous monitoring, audit support, and remediation tracking.
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure secure application deployment, operational excellence, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements and operational efficiencies to strengthen security, compliance, and service delivery outcomes.
• Provide program governance, status reporting, and executive-level updates while ensuring successful delivery of cloud and security-focused initiatives.

Qualifications of the Project Manager (Ops Stack) include:

• Ability to work in the United States; RTP-based preferred, with flexibility to work remotely within the Eastern Time Zone (EST).
• 5+ years of project and program management experience leading complex technology initiatives and cross-functional teams.
• Current Project/Program Manager with prior hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), cloud operations, infrastructure operations, or related technical disciplines.
• Strong understanding of IT operations and FedRAMP Moderate frameworks, including security controls, compliance requirements, and operational governance.
• Excellent communication, organizational, stakeholder management, and risk management skills, with experience delivering cloud and security-focused programs.

Compensation for the Project Manager (Ops Stack) include:

• $120,000-$150,000
