Devops Tech Lead

Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Technical Lead to support modernization efforts within a government-focused technology organization. The DevOps Technical Lead will lead CI/CD strategy, automation initiatives, and software delivery processes while providing mentorship and technical direction to a team of engineers.

Responsibilities of the DevOps Technical Lead:

• Lead the design and optimization of CI/CD pipelines across multiple applications.

• Implement automation solutions that improve software delivery speed and reliability.

• Establish DevOps best practices and deployment standards.

• Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to streamline delivery processes.

• Mentor engineers and provide leadership on automation and release management initiatives.

• Drive continuous improvement efforts across the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications of the DevOps Technical Lead:

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

• 7+ years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering experience.

• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps. • Strong understanding of infrastructure automation and configuration management.

• Experience supporting cloud-based environments.

• Knowledge of containers and orchestration technologies.

• Previous technical leadership experience preferred.

Compensation for the DevOps Technical Lead includes:

• Salary range: $150,000 - $180,000 depending on experience
