Site Reliability Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (Kubernetes Platform) to join a rapidly growing cloud infrastructure and networking organization for a fully remote long-term contract opportunity. The Site Reliability Engineer (Kubernetes Platform) will support production Kubernetes environments, improve platform reliability, and help maintain infrastructure supporting highly secure cloud services.

Responsibilities of the Site Reliability Engineer include:

· Build, operate, and support Kubernetes clusters across AWS and on-premises environments.

· Monitor and troubleshoot Linux-based systems to ensure platform stability and performance.

· Develop infrastructure automation and operational tooling to reduce manual processes.

· Assist in improving observability, alerting, and reliability standards across the platform.

· Partner with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications for the Site Reliability Engineer include:

· 4+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles.

· Strong hands-on experience administering and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in production.

· Solid Linux systems administration and troubleshooting expertise.

· Experience with AWS cloud services and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

· Scripting or software development experience using Python, Go, Ruby, or similar languages.

· Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability technologies preferred.

Compensation for the Site Reliability Engineer:

Salary Range: $120,000-$160,000/year (USD)
