Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Kubernetes Architect) to join a leading cloud technology and networking organization for a fully remote long-term contract opportunity. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Kubernetes Architect) will lead architecture and platform initiatives focused on large-scale Kubernetes environments, automation, and highly regulated cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities of the Senior Site Reliability Engineer include:

· Design and scale enterprise Kubernetes platforms supporting critical production workloads.

· Drive architecture decisions related to deployment automation, platform services, and reliability engineering.

· Establish infrastructure standards, operational procedures, and platform best practices.

· Lead automation initiatives that improve scalability, compliance, and operational efficiency.

· Mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver resilient cloud solutions.

Qualifications for the Senior Site Reliability Engineer include:

· 10+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.

· Extensive experience designing, building, and operating Kubernetes platforms at scale.

· Strong Linux, networking, and cloud infrastructure expertise.

· Hands-on experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native automation.

· Knowledge of regulated or security-focused cloud environments highly preferred.

· Programming experience with Python, Go, or similar languages.

Compensation for the Senior Site Reliability Engineer:

Salary Range: $150,000-$185,000/year (USD)
