Senior Reliability Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join a government-focused technology team supporting mission-critical infrastructure and platform operations. The Site Reliability Engineer will play a key role in managing Kubernetes environments, developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and driving improvements in platform stability, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities of the Site Reliability Engineer:

• Administer and maintain production Kubernetes environments to ensure reliability and availability.

• Design, implement, and manage infrastructure deployments utilizing Terraform.

• Build and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities across critical systems.

• Support incident management efforts, including troubleshooting, remediation, and root cause analysis.

• Partner with engineering and operations teams to strengthen platform performance and operational efficiency.

• Develop automation solutions to streamline infrastructure management and reduce manual processes.

Qualifications of the Site Reliability Engineer:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

• 4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments.

• Experience creating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code solutions with Terraform.

• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and cloud-based infrastructure platforms.

• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and production support best practices.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation for the Site Reliability Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $130,000 - $180,000, depending on experience.
