Interior Designer
Piper Companies is seeking an Interior Designer to support a leading organization in the greater Philadelphia area. The Interior Designer will play an integral role in the interior design effort across all phases of a project, working collaboratively with project teams to develop design solutions, create project designs, and support the successful delivery of interior spaces.
1. Responsibilities of the Interior Designer:
- Lead and contribute to interior design projects through all phases of design and construction
- Develop creative design solutions and participate in design charrettes with project teams
- Perform programming and small- to large-scale space planning
- Develop conceptual designs, design drawings, and interior construction details
- Prepare and coordinate FF&E specifications and interior finish selections
- Prepare and lead client and project presentations
- Develop and manage construction drawings using Revit
- Coordinate interior building design with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project trades
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and project requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain design intent and project quality
- Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting established deadlines
- Effectively communicate design concepts, project updates, and recommendations to internal teams and clients
2. Qualifications of the Interior Designer:
- 6+ years of professional interior design experience
- Professional degree in Interior Design
- Proficiency in Revit and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong graphic presentation and visualization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of building codes and interior construction detailing
- Experience with space planning, FF&E specifications, and construction documentation
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and independently manage time
- Strong collaboration and coordination skills across multiple disciplines
- Professional experience in healthcare design strongly preferred
Strongly Preferred:
- NCIDQ certification
- LEED accreditation
- Rendering experience with Enscape or similar visualization software
- Experience leading presentations and design charrettes
- Experience working on healthcare, institutional, or other complex commercial projects
