Project Manager (Ops Stack)

Piper Companies is hiring a Project Manager (Ops Stack) for a leading technology organization located in the Raleigh-Durham (RTP), North Carolina area. The Project Manager (Ops Stack) will lead programs supporting security platforms and operational environments that enable applications to achieve and maintain FedRAMP Moderate compliance. The Project Manager (Ops Stack) is a remote contract opportunity for candidates located within the Eastern Time Zone.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager (Ops Stack):

• Lead cross-functional programs supporting the security stack and operational controls required for FedRAMP Moderate environments.

• Coordinate project plans, timelines, risks, stakeholder communications, and program governance across engineering, security, compliance, and operations teams.

• Drive compliance readiness efforts and continuous monitoring activities aligned with FedRAMP Moderate requirements.

• Partner with technical and business stakeholders to support secure application deployment and operational excellence in regulated cloud environments.

• Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies to strengthen security, compliance, and service delivery outcomes.

• Provide risk mitigation strategies, status reporting, and executive-level program updates for complex initiatives.

Requirements of the Project Manager (Ops Stack):

• 3+ years of project and/or program management experience supporting complex technology initiatives.

• Prior hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), cloud operations, infrastructure operations, or a related technical discipline.

• Current experience leading enterprise-level project and program management efforts.

• Strong understanding of FedRAMP Moderate environments, security controls, compliance frameworks, and operational governance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred.

Compensation for the Project Manager (Ops Stack):

• $120,000 - $150,000, based on experience
