Windows Endpoint Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Windows Endpoint Engineer in RTP to join a growing organization within the defense and regulated technology sector. The Windows Endpoint Engineer will play a key role in managing enterprise endpoint infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments while driving modernization initiatives, security improvements, and end-user computing strategies. This position combines hands-on engineering expertise with stakeholder engagement to improve endpoint performance, security posture, and virtual workspace solutions.

Responsibilities of the Windows Endpoint Engineer:

• Administer and support enterprise Windows infrastructure, including patching, vulnerability remediation, system upgrades, and operational maintenance across on-premises environments.
• Manage and enhance Cloud PC environments, focusing on user requests, platform optimization, security improvements, lifecycle management, and ongoing modernization efforts.
• Partner with business stakeholders to evaluate Thin Client solutions, gather requirements, identify operational challenges, and drive improvements for highly secure user environments.
• Lead endpoint management initiatives leveraging Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM, Azure Virtual Desktop, and related cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and operations teams to strengthen endpoint protection, compliance, and user experience across the enterprise.

Qualifications of the Windows Endpoint Engineer:

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows systems engineering, endpoint administration, and desktop infrastructure.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 Cloud PC, and endpoint lifecycle management.
• Experience managing security vulnerabilities, operating system upgrades, endpoint hardening, and compliance-driven initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements, manage projects, and work directly with stakeholders to develop end-user computing solutions.
