QC Validation Lead

Piper Companies is seeking a QC Validation Lead to support laboratory equipment qualification and validation activities for a leading pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing organization in Marietta, PA. The QC Validation Lead will act as the primary validation resource for QC lab systems, helping ensure equipment, instruments, and software remain compliant while partnering with lab teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the QC Validation Lead:

• Lead qualification and validation activities for QC lab equipment and computer systems, including IQ, OQ, and PQ documentation.

• Support the full equipment lifecycle, including installation, calibration, maintenance, requalification, and retirement of lab instruments.

• Prepare and maintain validation documents, risk assessments, protocols, reports, procedures, and equipment records.

• Support lab systems and instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, GC-MS, balances, environmental chambers, and related software applications.

• Work closely with QC, Quality, Engineering, IT, vendors, and global validation teams to maintain compliance and support new projects.

• Lead investigations, change controls, audit readiness activities, and data integrity initiatives while helping train team members.

Qualifications of the QC Validation Lead:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related scientific field, or equivalent industry experience.

• 5+ years of experience supporting validation activities in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, vaccine, or life sciences environment.

• Hands-on experience writing and executing IQ/OQ/PQ protocols for laboratory equipment and computerized systems.

• Strong lab validation background with analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, GC-MS, and other biochemistry lab equipment.

• Experience with calibration programs, equipment lifecycle management, and computerized lab systems including LIMS.

• Proven ability to lead projects, coordinate vendors, communicate with stakeholders, and work independently in a lead-level role.

Compensation for the QC Validation Lead includes:

• Pay Range: $48-$56 per hour (depending on experience)

• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans

• Long-term contract: 12+ months
