Systems Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a high-visibility national missile defense program onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. This opportunity supports a defense contractor focused on Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC), where the engineer will contribute to system performance analysis, integration and test activities, and model-based systems engineering efforts that support critical defense capabilities.

Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer Includes:

• Conduct systems analysis across complex missile defense architectures and operational scenarios.
• Develop and maintain modeling and simulation tools to evaluate system performance against evolving threats.
• Support requirements development, verification, traceability, and model-based systems engineering activities using MBSE tools.
• Lead integration and test activities, including planning, scheduling, documentation, execution, and results analysis.
• Perform trade studies, feasibility assessments, capability evaluations, and performance analysis to support system design and development

Qualifications of the Systems Engineer Includes:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering supporting requirements, system design, architecture, integration, or testing activities
• Experience with MBSE tools, such as CAMEO, DOORS, or System Architect
• Experience with modeling and simulation languages such as MATLAB, Python, Java, or similar
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Must hold an active Top Secret (with SCI eligibility) US Government Clearance

Compensation of the Systems Engineer Includes:

• Salary Range: $140,000 - 165,000 (based on experience)
