IAM Software Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking an IAM Software Engineer to join a leading technology services organization focused on identity, access management, and cloud security solutions. The IAM Software Engineer will play a critical role in designing, automating, and supporting enterprise identity platforms with a focus on Okta, Entra ID, SSO integrations, and infrastructure-as-code deployments. The IAM Software Engineer is a long term open ended contract opportunity and requires you to work remote in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities of the IAM Software Engineer:

    • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IAM solutions leveraging Okta and Microsoft Entra ID.

    • Configure and support Single Sign-On (SSO), federation, and identity integrations across cloud and enterprise applications.

    • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and Terragrunt for IAM deployments and configurations.

    • Implement and troubleshoot authentication and authorization frameworks utilizing SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect (OIDC).

    • Partner with security, cloud, and application teams to enhance identity governance, lifecycle management, and access controls.

    • Automate provisioning, deprovisioning, and user lifecycle management processes across enterprise environments.

Requirements of the IAM Software Engineer:

    • 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), software engineering, or a related discipline.

    • Deep technical knowledge of Okta and Microsoft Entra ID architecture, lifecycle management, SSO, and federation protocols.

    • Strong expertise with SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and modern authentication standards.

    • Proficiency in Terraform and Terragrunt coding to automate deployments requiring SSO configurations.

    • Experience integrating IAM solutions with cloud platforms, SaaS applications, and enterprise systems.

    • Strong troubleshooting, scripting, and automation skills within a cloud-centric environment.

Compensation for the IAM Software Engineer:

    • Salary range: $115,000 - $145,000, based on experience
