Sr. DevOps Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer for a leading technology organization. The Sr. DevOps Engineer - Platform Interface Team is a fully remote contract opportunity supporting cloud platform operations, deployment automation, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. An ideal candidate for the Sr. DevOps Engineer - Platform Interface Team is an experienced DevOps or SRE professional with Kubernetes expertise, strong automation skills, and a background in software engineering.

Responsibilities of the Sr. DevOps Engineer

• Design and improve platform services, deployment workflows, and automation solutions that support engineering teams.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes-based deployment environments utilizing tools such as ArgoCD.
• Create standardized deployment paths and onboarding processes to help teams efficiently launch applications on the platform.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance reliability, monitoring, security, and operational best practices.

Qualifications of the Sr. DevOps Engineer

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based environments.
• Previous software engineering experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or similar technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, automation, and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple technical teams.

Compensation for the Sr. DevOps Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $150,000 - $190,000 annually
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), sick leave as required by law, and PTO.
