Lead Communications Specialist - Hybrid

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Lead Communications Specialist to support a major company focused on delivering exceptional financial services and member engagement within the credit union industry. This position is HYBRID in San Antonio, TX. and McLean, VA. The Lead Communications Specialist will develop and execute strategic communication initiatives that drive engagement, strengthen brand awareness, and ensure alignment across internal and external communications. This is an opportunity to shape organizational messaging and play a key role in enhancing member experiences and business outcomes.

Responsibilities for the Lead Communications Specialist include:

• Develop and execute enterprise communication strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Manage internal and external communications, including press releases, newsletters, digital content, and corporate messaging.
• Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
• Lead crisis communication planning and response efforts.
• Analyze communication performance metrics and recommend strategies to improve engagement and effectiveness.
• Mentor and lead communications team members while overseeing high-quality content development and delivery.

Required Qualifications for the Lead Communications Specialist include:

• 7+ years of experience in corporate communications.
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing communications initiatives and/or teams.
• Experience developing and executing communication strategies across multiple channels.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Experience with digital communications platforms and content management tools.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• Financial services, banking, or credit union industry experience preferred.

Compensation for the Lead Communications Specialist includes:

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 depending on experience
