Superintendent

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Superintendent - Low Voltage / Structured Cabling to lead large-scale telecommunications and structured cabling projects in the McCarran, NV area. This role is ideal for an experienced field leader with expertise in structured cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, construction operations, project management, workforce leadership, and customer-facing project delivery. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer and company standards.

Responsibilities of the Superintendent:

• Lead large-scale structured cabling, low voltage, and telecommunications infrastructure projects from planning through customer turnover
• Manage project staffing, scheduling, workload distribution, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution
• Monitor project profitability, labor utilization, and operational performance
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to customer requirements
• Oversee project documentation including work orders, change orders, timesheets, material transfers, invoicing, and project closeout packages
• Review project costs, purchasing activities, inventory management, and reporting processes for accuracy and efficiency
• Drive process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and project delivery
• Serve as the primary operational contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications for the Superintendent:

• 5+ years of supervisory or management experience within telecommunications, low voltage, structured cabling, or construction environments
• 3+ years of experience as a Lead Communications Technician, Superintendent, or similar leadership role
• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, structured cabling, low voltage systems, or related technical construction disciplines
• Demonstrated experience managing projects from scope development and estimation through final completion and customer turnover
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management
• Proven ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, quality requirements, and construction documentation
• Experience leading customer-facing projects and managing stakeholder relationships
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel as required and meet company driving requirements

Technical Skills & Industry Knowledge:

• Hands-on knowledge of structured cabling systems and telecommunications infrastructure
• Experience utilizing industry-standard testing and installation tools including:
  • 110 and 66 punch-down tools
  • Krone, 3M, and BIX termination tools
  • Combination crimp tools
  • Butt sets
  • Volt-ohm meters
  • Continuity testers
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical and operational issues in active construction environments
• Experience developing and implementing operational best practices and process improvements

Compensation for the Superintendent Includes:

• Hourly Pay: $32.00 - $45.00/hour
