System Administrator

Piper Companies is seeking a System Administrator to join a secure enterprise infrastructure team supporting Linux systems, virtualization platforms, and storage environments for a fully onsite contract position based out of Fort Meade, MD. The System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining operational stability, system security, and infrastructure performance.

Responsibilities of the System Administrator include:

· Administer Linux-based servers including installation, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

· Manage virtual environments and shared storage platforms supporting user workloads.

· Support identity services, DNS environments, and infrastructure-related services.

· Evaluate security vulnerabilities and assist with remediation and compliance efforts.

· Document configurations, operational procedures, and system changes.

Qualifications for the System Administrator include:

· 5+ years of system administration experience.

· Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.

· Experience supporting virtualization and enterprise storage environments.

· Active CompTIA Security+ certification.

· Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.

Compensation for the System Administrator:

Salary Range: $150,000-$190,000/year (USD)
