Sr. System Administrator (Windows & Linux)

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. System Administrator (Windows & Linux) to join an established government technology organization supporting enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives for a fully onsite contract opportunity based out of Fort Meade, MD. The Sr. System Administrator (Windows & Linux) will provide advanced administration across multi-platform server environments while supporting compliance and security programs.

Responsibilities of the Sr. System Administrator (Windows & Linux) include:

· Administer and maintain enterprise Windows and Linux server environments.

· Support vulnerability assessment, compliance initiatives, and security remediation efforts.

· Perform advanced troubleshooting, upgrades, patching, and system maintenance.

· Monitor system health and respond to incidents impacting infrastructure availability.

· Collaborate with technical teams to improve performance, security, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications for the Sr. System Administrator (Windows & Linux) include:

· 10+ years of systems administration experience.

· Strong experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems.

· Experience utilizing tools such as Nessus, Splunk, or similar security platforms.

· Active Security+ CE certification or higher.

· Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.

Compensation for the Sr. System Administrator (Windows & Linux):

Salary Range: $170,000-$210,000/year (USD)
