Sr. Storage Engineer - TS/SCI FSP

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Storage Engineer -TS/SCI FSP for a leading government technology organization in the Annapolis Junction, Maryland area. The Sr. Storage Engineer - TS/SCI FSP role is a fully onsite position with 5 days onsite in the office. The Sr. Storage Engineer - TS/SCI FSP will support and optimize enterprise storage and backup infrastructures within a highly secure mission environment. An ideal candidate for the Sr. Storage Engineer - TS/SCI FSP role is an experienced infrastructure engineer with deep expertise in enterprise storage platforms, backup technologies, and troubleshooting complex data protection environments.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Storage Engineer - TS/SCI FSP:

• Administer, configure, and optimize enterprise backup solutions including NetBackup, Cohesity, Commvault, and Rubrik to ensure data availability and recoverability.

• Troubleshoot and coordinate break-fix activities across backup appliances, storage systems, and data protection infrastructure.

• Manage and support enterprise storage environments including Oracle ZFS, NetApp, VAST Data, and IBM storage arrays.

• Monitor system health, performance, and capacity to proactively identify and resolve storage and backup-related issues.

• Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to implement enhancements, support migrations, and maintain high availability across critical systems.

Qualifications of the Sr. Storage Engineer - TS/SCI FSP:

• Active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance required.

• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise storage, backup, and data protection environments.

• Hands-on experience administering NetBackup, Cohesity, Commvault, and Rubrik in large-scale production environments.

• Strong experience supporting enterprise storage platforms including Oracle ZFS, NetApp, VAST Data, and IBM storage solutions.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex storage, backup, and performance issues within secure and mission-critical environments.

Compensation for the Sr. Storage Engineer - TS/SCI FSP includes: •

Salary range: $150,000 – $210,000 depending on experience
