Cloud Software Developer

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Cloud Software Developer to support a mission-focused customer based in Dahlgren, VA. This position is a full-time role that will be fully onsite. As a Cloud Software Developer, you will design, develop, test, and support reliable cloud-based applications and data-processing solutions within a dynamic mission environment. This role is critical in delivering scalable software and data engineering solutions leveraging AWS cloud technologies, system integration, ETL development, and AI-enabled capabilities to support evolving customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-based applications and data-processing solutions.
• Develop and support ETL workflows, data pipelines, and data transformation processes.
• Integrate software systems and services within AWS cloud environments.
• Implement and support AI-enabled functionality within applications and data solutions where appropriate.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver mission-critical software solutions.
• Support all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software, integration, and cloud infrastructure issues.
• Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Evaluate and implement new programming languages, tools, and technologies as mission requirements evolve.
• Support data engineering initiatives and cloud modernization efforts.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and system architecture planning.
• Document technical solutions, processes, and system configurations.

Requirements:

• Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, application development, data engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience supporting the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• 1+ years of experience developing ETL workflows and data transformation processes.
• 1+ years of experience supporting software development for data engineering and system integration.
• Experience working with AWS cloud technologies.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications or data solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• AWS Certified Developer
• AWS Certified Data Engineer
• CompTIA Cloud+ or comparable cloud certification

Compensation:

Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000+ depending on experience
