Finance Manager, Product & Technology

Piper Companies is seeking a Finance Manager, Product & Technology to join a leading medical device organization in San Jose, California. The Finance Manager, Product & Technology will play a critical role in supporting financial planning and analysis activities for product development and technology organizations, partnering closely with business leaders to drive strategic decision-making, forecasting, and operational performance.

Responsibilities of the Finance Manager, Product & Technology:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes including forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for Product and Technology organizations.

• Partner with engineering, product management, and executive leadership teams to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations.

• Analyze operating expenses, headcount planning, investments, and resource allocation to optimize business performance.

• Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to support new initiatives and technology investments.

• Monitor key performance indicators and identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting financial results.

• Prepare and present financial reporting packages and executive-level presentations for senior leadership.

• Drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting capabilities across the organization.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting.

Qualifications of the Finance Manager, Product & Technology:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA and/or CPA preferred.

• 5+ years of progressive finance experience with a strong focus on FP&A and strategic finance.

• Experience supporting Product, Engineering, Technology, R&D, or similar business functions.

• Background within a medical device, healthcare technology, or large enterprise technology environment preferred.

• Advanced financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience.

• Strong proficiency with Excel, financial planning systems, and data visualization/reporting tools.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and partner with executive stakeholders.

• Experience working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Compensation for the Finance Manager, Product & Technology includes:

• Salary range: $130,000 - $165,000 plus annual bonus
