Platform Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Platform Engineer for a world leading technology organization in the United States. The Platform Engineer role is a remote position focused on building and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure and developer platforms that support modern application deployments. The Platform Engineer will help create self-service tooling, automate infrastructure operations, and improve the developer experience across the organization. An ideal candidate for the Platform Engineer role is an experienced engineer with strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, Linux, and Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities of the Platform Engineer:

• Build and maintain cloud-native platform infrastructure utilizing Kubernetes and AWS services.

• Develop automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions to streamline provisioning and platform operations.

• Create and enhance self-service tools and platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to deploy applications efficiently.

• Monitor platform health, performance, and reliability while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with software engineering teams to establish deployment standards and operational best practices.

Qualifications of the Platform Engineer:

• 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related infrastructure roles.

• Strong experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and Linux administration in production environments.

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and cloud-native platforms.

• Strong troubleshooting skills with distributed systems, networking, and infrastructure technologies.

Compensation for the Platform Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000 depending on experience
