Chief Cloud Architect

Piper Companies is seeking a Chief Cloud Architect for a leading worldwide financial organization in Arlington, Virginia area. The Chief Cloud Architect will provide guidance to a team of engineers to create a variety of products. The Chief Cloud Architect will have strong people management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities for the Chief Cloud Architect include:

• Provide management to a team of cloud engineers
• Support the full project life cycle using Agile methodology
• Learn the latest technologies and tools to exceed in efficiency and effectiveness
• Collaborate with team members to ensure success

Requirements for the Chief Cloud Architect include:

• 8+ years of experience in full-cycle architecture
• Previous management experience, specifically mentorship of engineers and architects
• Experience with hands-on software development
• Strong experience with AWS or other cloud native services
• Solid knowledge of the Agile methodology
• Strong verbal and written communications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering preferred or relevant work experience

Compensation of the Chief Cloud Architect: $200,000 - $250,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package and annual bonus
